(and the discussion on [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xinerama] and
[http://gentoohaven.com/2010/04/13/xinerama-composite/])I would guess
that COMPOSITE and XINERAMA/PANORAMIX no longer conflict.
However, I'm using XINERAMA on oneiric/11.10 on a Radeon HD 5450 (fglrx
enabled) and 'xdpyinfo' does _not_ report the COMPOSITE extension. As a
consequence desktop effects in KDE do not work and the KDE system
settings also report that 'The needed x-extensions (XComposite and
XDamage) are not available'.
