The hard disk is a Seagate ST9120821A

Adding piix in /etc/initramfs-tools/modules allowed to advance more in the 
startup but the kernel was not able to finish the startup. I've added this in 
/etc/initramfs-tools/modules:
piix
i2c_piix4
i2c_core
Now the problem is solved in my system.
