I'm actually not using this card any longer, but at the time I tried, it was working fine with the Oneiric alphas.
I do think it is worth bringing the change into Natty. I made sure that the fix is in the upstream (mesa) 7.10 branch, so you should just get this if you update to the latest mesa-7.10 in Natty.
