Since #769812 is a duplicate... with PPAs for kernel 3.1 from the
mainline-ppa, I seem to be hit more frequently by sudden system hangs
(as in #769812), which were really rare before. Not obviously related to
wireless, though.

I have also done a little "disk whacker" script:

while true; do for i in $(seq 1 10; do dd if=/dev/zero of=zeroes${i}
bs=65536 count=16 oflag=direct&; done; wait; done

But that didn't affect suspend-to-ram performance, as was speculated in
#769812.
