Public bug reported: I use an ubuntu server. When there is no mythtv installed, suspend to ram works fine by using the command:
pmi action suspend It suspends and then wakes up with no problem. With mythtv-backend installed (this can be done by using the mythbuntu- control-centre program and installing just the backend), the system freezes when issuing the aforementioned command. The following url may be relevant: http://bml303.blogspot.com/2009/11/suspending-mythtv-backend.html What the above solution seems to do is basically to start/stop some services before suspending and after waking up. I have not tried it yet, but anyway suspend should work out of the box, otherwize it's a bug, right?
