I tested with latest kernel (3.1.0-030100-generic #201110241006 SMP Mon Oct 24 14:20:44 UTC 2011 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux).
BT works better than with stock Ubuntu kernel, but there are some issues. hcitool scan and the BT applet finds other devices. It's possible to pair devices from UI. Browsing files on a device (N900 in this case) doesn't work. Nothing happens if i choose "Browse files" from BT applet. I also tried to send a file from N900 to the laptop but it failed and BT applet crashed: [ 412.710151] bluetooth-apple[2149]: segfault at 40 ip b783aa4e sp bf9d8a50 error 4 in libgnome-bluetooth.so.8.0.0[b782b000+1a000] It's difficult to say which problems are caused by kernel and which by bugs in BT applet or bluez. Upgrading the kernel did bring some improvement so i guess at least some of the bugs are in kernel. ** Tags removed: needs-upstream-testing -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/881908 Title: Broadcom Bluetooth [03f0:231d] broken in Oneiric To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/881908/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
