Also here present is many entries in Grub menu.
I have several disks with several partitions and different Unbuntu versions.

Latest install was the Ubuntu version 11.10 on a new disk with the bootloader
on that disk in his own MBR.
Sellecting via the BIOS to set this disk as #1 to start, i noticed that i was
having 9 entries for one ubuntu version.

Looking inside the Grub.cfg file made some discoveries there.
What i noticed that all installed kernels were listed and also every .img file.

The meny entry are all called : "Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS (10.04) (on /dev/sda2)"
And 'img' confusion list:
1. initrd /initrd.img
2. initrd /initrd.img
3. initrd /initrd.img.old
4. initrd /boot/initrd.img-2.6.32-34-generic
5. initrd /boot/initrd.img-2.6.32-35-generic
6. initrd /initrd.img
7. initrd /initrd.img
8. initrd /initrd.img.old
9.initrd /initrd.img.old

Atached my Grub.cfg file as reference.

So where is Grub loosing track of the real kernel and why are they named all
the same.
When named in the menu all the same, it is impossible to choose the right one
to boot your system.
Grub is becomming a very confusing bootloader if you ask me.

BTW, also i have not installed Grub Customizer on the Ubuntu 11.10
version.
