Hello all,
Thank you for taking time to report this bug, actually this bug can be related
to the kernel not to synaptics driver, to check for this please try to reload
your 'psmouse' after suspending and see if it will work, to do so, please:
Open your terminal(Ctrl+Alt+T)
Enter and run the following command: sudo rmmod psmouse && sudo modprobe psmouse

I'm doing this to eliminate the possibility of being the psmouse is the cause,
as recorded in:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/373690/comments/21
Thanks.
