Now I cannot reproduce the problem. Either it is file specific or it has been already fixed. It is also difficult to reproduce it considering the bug in subtitles in totem/gstreamer (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gst-plugins- base0.10/+bug/70223).
