Public bug reported:

Since the update to 11.10 I experienced random freezes and kernel panics.
At home this happened much less frequent than somewhere else.
I started netconsole and after some time i now have experienced a freeze (blank
screen, but no blinking Caps-Lock as it happens if the kernel panics).
Well, the netconsole log was very big and repeated very often, so i just cut
the last lines which hopefully will be sufficient.
You can see it here: http://paste.pocoo.org/show/500219/
I did a quick search and found this post:
http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-wireless/msg77438.html
Which says that this could be related to the rt2800pci driver.
I dont know how to turn off Powersaving of this driver, if you can tell me i
could try if this is a workaround for me.
If you need further assistance from me in locating the problem just tell me.

According to the guidelines:
1) Ubuntu 11.10
2) Linux wind 3.0.0-13-generic #21-Ubuntu SMP Mon Oct 17 20:18:09 UTC 2011 i686
i686 i386 GNU/Linux
3) Obviously I would like to have a smoothly running OS.
4) Freezes and Kernel Panics happen.
