I share shinyblue's problem, on very different hardware. (Desktop with Nvida graphics and an Eizo screen.) The problem is also a regression for me.
Like him I find that colormgr get-devices does not list the screen. My laptop, a Lenovo with intel graphics, also upgraded to 11.10 is fine and still finds the profile.
