Same/similar problem here. I have tried using remote, virtual sessions with both NX and VNC. (11.10) In both cases I get no launcher panel at all and no top panel. This means that I can't start any applications, and any that are started automatically (startup apps) - with them I can not get see/use the max/min icons on the top panel.
Basically unusable, Whereas, running using VNC to access a non-virtual (real) session works just fine. Problem is, I don't want a real session running unattented on a remote machine. This worked properly with the 'ubuntu classic' on 11.04. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/866083 Title: there is no practical way to start/switch applications, menus and tasks in virtual session (VNC/NX/SYNERGY/VIRTUALBOX) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-2d/+bug/866083/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
