Hi Zman, Thank you for your bug report. Unfortunately you have mention multiple problems in the one report. Each problem you mention needs to be written out as a separate bug report for the developers to pursue.
Having said that, I suggest you first search through the bugs that have been listed against the software-center application (you can do that by going to the top of this page and clicking the 'bugs' link). For example, a similar bug #554180 is listed and the problem of software being listed twice has been reported previously. If you find the same bug already listed then click on the link 'This bug affects you and 1 other person', rather than filing a duplicate bug report.
