This is a casper bug, and is specific to Portuguese and Chinese where we pass locale= rather than debian-installer/language= due to needing the location part of the locale. casper needs to resolve the value to a complete locale rather than trusting that it's already complete.
I think I know roughly how to fix this; I'll attack it over the next couple of days. ** Package changed: ubiquity (Ubuntu) => casper (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: casper (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: casper (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: casper (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Colin Watson (cjwatson) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/882308 Title: Choosing simplified chinese in isolinux menu causes corrupted characters and untranslated installer To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/oem-priority/+bug/882308/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
