Affects me too. Extremely choppy audio, even plain standard mp3's. This is 11.10, upgraded from 11.04. Soundcard is an ExpressCard "SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio Notebook". Sound is unusable as it is, hope it's fixed...
