Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: debootstrap

Felt like giving edgy a burn so decided to debootstrap into a spare
partition but ...

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/mnt/hdb5# debootstrap --arch amd64 edgy /mnt/hdb5
ftp://ftp.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/
E: No such script: /usr/lib/debootstrap/scripts/edgy

So it might be an idea to update debootstrap scripts to include
development version when it becomes available, this would make it easier
to install (and test) via the debootstrap method without resorting to
ugly hacks.

P.S. this is really a feature request/whislist item but i can't see a
way to flag it as such via the "Report a Bug" link, perhaps this is the
wrong place to file it or not?

** Affects: debootstrap (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Untriaged
         Status: Unconfirmed
