It seems we should change opendict depends to use python-wxgtk2.8 - wxWidgets2.6 soon will be removed from Debian, also this would fix bug #662077 (WxWidgets apps don't have menus) - currently only wxWidgets2.8 are patched to have menubar in Ubuntu 10.10 or newer. OpenDict works fine with python-wxgtk2.8, I just tested this, see bug #881381 for more info.
Currently (while opendict uses python-wxgtk2.6) I'm forced to replace /usr/bin/opendict with attached script: export UBUNTU_MENUPROXY=0 exec /usr/share/opendict/opendict.py "$@" ** Attachment added: "/usr/bin/opendict executable which forces to show menubar in OpenDict" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/opendict/+bug/860332/+attachment/2571629/+files/opendict -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/860332 Title: Please upload a new OpenDict 0.6.3-4 package from official Debian maintainer To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/opendict/+bug/860332/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
