Hello,

Could you please run: 
$ gconftool -a /apps/gnome-power-manager 2>&1 | tee /tmp/gconftool.log
and attach /tmp/gconftool.log to this bug report?

Also, please run:
$ lshal -m 2>&1 | tee /tmp/lshal.log
while you unplug the AC power cord and attach that to this report as well.

This will help us figure out why gnome-power-manager is behaving like it
does.  Thanks!
