Actually, it doesn't appear to install the 64 bit libraries, either. In Synaptic, libusb-1.0 (version 2:1.0.8-4) is marked as installed, but if you open the properties for the package to view the installed files, you're told "The list of installed files is only available for installed packages".
There's nothing that matches /usr/lib/libusb-1.0* installed. I removed the cached package and reinstalled, a new package file was downloaded, installed, same result. Oddest package snafu I've ever seen. Hmm, the package size is listed as 135 kb, but the download size is listed as 28.9 kb, the cached package file is: -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 28866 2011-07-27 06:09 libusb-1.0-0_2%3a1.0.8-4_amd64.deb -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/645351 Title: installing libusb-1.0 on x86_64 doesn't install the 32 bit library To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libusb-1.0/+bug/645351/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
