This line in the apper control field is wrong:
Breaks: kpackagekit (<= 0.7.0~20111008-0ubuntu1)
Instead it should be
Breaks: kpackagekit (<< 0.7.0~20111008-0ubuntu1~)
to make kpackagekit and apper co-installable (otherwise there is no point in
having a transitional package).
