Again upgrading to 11.10 from 11.04 in a computer with several languages installed (the same as above, actually ...)
I was hitting the bug #184908 and, well, to solve the dependency problems I needed cd /usr/lib/locale sudo mv locale-archive locale-archive_old sudo LANG="C" LC_ALL="C" dpkg-reconfigure locales My locales were also corrupted in a computer which wasn't used since June and a "lot" of updates (to 11.04, not upgraded to 11.10 yet) were applied... keyboard in Kile / Kate stopped working and voila, the above solved the issue.
