If I activate the MINI Mode Extension, and put banshee to mini mode, it goes back to an (more or less) acceptable 18-20 % cpu load, In full screen mode, it takes up at least 80% of my cpu, even doing nothing.
with the 18-20 % I am doing internet radio listening, so, well, as I said, it's somewhat acceptible, I am suspicious though if it may be related to the display of the buffering, it seams this is updated really quite often, I had such a bug in an application of mine too, long ago, I changed to only do a screen update when the % number changes instead of every time the state changed, made a tremendious difference! So this might be something to checkout, just throwing it out there, without looking at the sources ... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/861799 Title: banshee using 100% cpu To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/banshee/+bug/861799/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
