Public bug reported: Iit seems like there's a typo in the patch for newer lenovo thinkpads. While thinkpad_ec.c now adds TP_DMI_MATCH("LENOVO", "ThinkPad") to the whitelist, this wasn't sufficient on my ThinkPad T420.
The reason is, that the 'p' in 'pad' is uppercased. When I lowercase it ("Thinkpad"), the module builds and loads as expected. ** Affects: tp-smapi (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/875787 Title: tp-smapi lenovo thinkpad support To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tp-smapi/+bug/875787/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
