This bug affects me on my desktop-pc, too. Problem is, it's a total freeze, there is no log made at all, syslog and kern.log both show nothing. My system is fully updated (but not upgraded to 11.10). Kernel is 2.6.38-11-generic RAM: 8 GiB CPU: Intel Core i3-2100 (3,1 GHz) Ubuntu 11.04 (64 Bit, of course) PC got wireless aswell as wired connection but is attached by wire.
