Public bug reported: While upgrading 2 separate laptops from Ubuntu 11.04 to 11.10, one being a Dell E1505 with an Intel 4965 card, the other being a Dell 1545 with a WiFi Link 5100 card, both suffer from nearly null wireless speeds. Both computers will connect to the network just fine, however, wireless speeds are terrible. Connecting directly to router via Cat5E cable and disabling wireless results in normal speeds.
Both machines had kernels upgraded to latest mainstream kernels, and problem persisted. I had to revert both machines back to 11.04. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/874777 Title: Intel WiFi Cards with slow connection speeds To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/874777/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
