in case you still have a problem and there isn't one for the Thinkpad

Since the bios update solved the problem, I think we can close this one,
and probably there is no feasible workaround to be done in the kernel,
unless someone knows the bios code/behaviour or more details about the
implementation of the problematic bios revision. For now, I'm setting
this to incomplete to let it expire, please set status back if there are
more details still to be discussed or anything pending.
