yeah it is the same one, my results:
$ lspci | grep Audio
00:10.1 Audio device: nVidia Corporation MCP51 High Definition Audio (rev a2)

it's starting to look like this really is a sound related problem, at
least for many of us.  And with the comment from Enrico Pangan about not
having the problem with an older kernel may be it is a driver
regression.
