** Description changed: I have a ThinkPad with an ATI Radeon Mobility card. This used to work great with 10.04 but fails with 11.04 and 11.10. Not sure at what point it broke since I didn't use 10.10. I'll post more information as I get it. Currently the Xorg log doesn't show any errors with the DRM / DRI / GLX modules and the kernel appears to have loaded the required modules but I'll double check this. If I use the "ati" or "radeon" driver, which I believe are the same anyway, X comes up but has no 3D. glxgears reports about 10FPS. Using the "frglx" driver, which I believe is ATI's driver, exactly the same happens but glxgears crashes! - I'm not sure what packages this involves, I've just come to Ubuntu from - Mandriva and I'm not yet familiar with the DEB package management. I'll - get more information to you ASAP. + I'm not sure what packages this involves, I've just come to Ubuntu from Mandriva and I'm not yet familiar with the DEB package management.
