Public bug reported:

Hi everybody!
I had a great problem tonight, upgrading with software center from 11.04 to
11.10

At the reboot, after the installation was complete, everything was fine, it was
just a bit hard to show the unity bar (setting was autohidden): i had to stay
there with the cursor for 10-15 seconds. But then it worked, i could also open
programms from there.
Then i opened compiz-config, because i had some effects for my desktop and i
wanted to set them back (yes, they didn't work anymore). In compiz, i clicked
on an option - don't remember which one - but without me to change any setting,
the screen had a moment of dark and then THE UPPER PANEL was not there anymore,
THE UNITY BAR neither. I could only brutally switch off the pc, and when back
the situation was the same: no upper panel with me menu, audio etc... just a
folder/desktop menu with "file" and so on appearing instead of it.
At the next reboot i switched to unity 2D and it worked, and so I'm now.

Anyone can help?
The previous version of unity didn't give me any problem....
I'm using a HP Pavillion with Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU T7100 @ 1.80GHz × 2 and
graphic Intel® 965GM x86/MMX/SSE2.

I would really appreciate any help to start using again unity... and if
you need further infos, I'm here!

THANX
Simone
