Public bug reported: Hello,
I was trying to make the upgrade from 11.04 to 11.10 when prompted for the upgrade but I received the following error when trying to do so. 'E:Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages.' I also get the following error when I click 'Install Updates' under update manager "This error could be caused by required additional software packages which are missing or not installable. Furthermore there could be a conflict between software packages which are not allowed to be installed at the same time." "The following packages have unmet dependencies: ia32-libs: " Thanks a ton for the help :) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: update-manager 1:0.150.3 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-8.42-generic 2.6.38.2 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-8-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: amd64 CurrentDmesg.txt: [ 22.912209] skge 0000:01:08.0: eth0: Link is up at 100 Mbps, full duplex, flow control both [ 25.652459] EXT4-fs (sda7): re-mounted.
