Just closing the loop. Thank you, John, for looking into this. I was never able to reproduce the crash, either. Your comment about using non- Ubuntu versions and foreign addons is well-taken. I'll be sure to reproduce with a "pure" system before I file bug reports in the future. Launchpad is a fantastic resource, and the engagement here by the Firefox developer community is a key reason that I remain a loyal user of the browser!
