Public bug reported: When I browse to the Ubuntu website there is no information about the upcoming 11.10 release. This should be advertised about 4 weeks in advance to get people aware that it's coming and of the release date. Hype should be built up about it to get people interested in the new features and probably encouraged to try the betas out if they can to help out. There was a section a couple of weeks ago about the beta but it contained very little information about the release and was not as well presented as it could be. The website look fantastic and it wouldn't take someone long to put a page together stating the new features with a release date. All successful products do this and Microsoft and Apple both start advertising their new released a few weeks in advance to spread the word its coming. The page should be graphical and nicely laid out like the one that describes the current release to show people clearly what is coming and not just list out a block of text about it with bullet points. This works for techies but doesn't appeal to the average user who wants things to look nice and see new features that make Ubuntu more appealing to use. The work that is done is excellent so lets see the front page shout about it!!!
