Install of 11.10 over 11.04. did not complete correctly. Had to go into
single user mode on the 11.04 version and run dpkg --configure
--pending. Before I did that on the boot message was getting error
"please append a correct "root=" ... (did not list the avaiable
partitions as it should had).
