Hello, I thought I'd bump this as it's still vary annoying.  What
bothers me most about this is that there is some process that is
obviously hammering the optical drive with requests.  This might not
disrupt throughput to/from the drive, but it can't be good for it.

I'd like to test with a patched kernel that would hopefully print the
PID and/or name of the application responsible.  Is there anyone who
could write such a patch?

Another note is that only the first opdrive is effected, the second on
my system operates without issue.

I'd like to be able to have the drive auto-close, so disabling this nice
feature is not an option for me...  even if it where to work around this
bug.
