Public bug reported:

1.) I had to run apport-bug after a reboot, apport hangs when confronted with
hung filesystem.
2.) LVM/LUKS/ecryptfs are all used.
3.) Basic disc setup: VG andidesk uses an unencrypted PV on a Intel 320 SSD. VG
andideskold is an old installation, unused beyond being mounted on /old. VG
vgpi contains my multimedia collection. andideskold/vgpi are both hosted on
normal hdds in LUKS encrypted PVs.
4.) After moving the journal of /dev/vgpi/vuze (ext4) to
/dev/andidesk/vuze_journal (a 128MB, according to tune2fs correctly sized,
external journal for ext4), and start deluged, it chucks around for some time,
after that some more or less random time, crashes in ext4_ext_search_left+0xe6,
leaving the filesystem hung, generating D state processes on access. This also
causes the box being unable to shutdown correctly.
5.) a grep on kern.log suggests that the crash happens around 6000-7000 seconds
uptime.
6.) The bug is reproducible on my system, I tried to test with 2.6.38.11.21
from lucid-proposed, but I was unable to get that to run satisfactory (this is
a work system, and the 2.6.38 kernel made X run with a generic driver instead
of Nouveau, hence not really supporting my dual head, so tests with not fully
functional kernels I can only run overnight.)
