I'm not using ubuntu here, but since this is a BIOS problem I guess I'd
share my experience as well.

I own an Asus P8H67M-Pro with a i3-2100 running with no extra cards and using 
integrated video.
The system is running a gentoo-sources 3.0.4 kernel.

The motherboard had BIOS revision 0806 and the suspend/hibernate bug was 
present on it.
Reading various reports in the net, I just tried upgrading the BIOS to revision 
1003 which is the latest available from the Asus website and it still fails to 
resume.

Symptoms are unchanged, machine wakes up for a few seconds, reboots and hangs 
there doing nothing.
Pressing the reset button makes it reset in loop.
Power cycle required to get back to a working state.

I'll give a shot at previously mentioned patches if I can find some
updated on top of latest 3.0 kernel series.
