Public bug reported: Hello,
Connection to VPN used to work till gnome-shell 3.1.91.1, yet since I upgraded to gnome-shell 3.1.92, connection to VPN does not work. When I check /var/log/syslog, I find this message: Sep 30 10:50:53 ants NetworkManager[1225]: <error> [1317372653.332643] [nm-vpn-connection.c:882] get_secrets_cb(): Failed to request VPN secrets #2: (6) No agents were available for this request. Also, whenever I try to edit the VPN settings (from Network Settings), I find the password fields empty. The same problem persists in gnome-shell 3.2.0 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: gnome-shell 3.2.0-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-12.19-generic 3.0.4 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-12-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu2 Architecture: amd64 Date: Fri Sep 30 10:51:08 2011 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.04 "Natty Narwhal" - Release amd64 (20110426) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_US:en PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: gnome-shell UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to oneiric on 2011-09-04 (26 days ago) ** Affects: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug oneiric -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/863120 Title: Cannot connect to VPN since upgrade to gnome-shell 3.1.92 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/863120/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
