Public bug reported:

I installed the 11.10 beta 2 on my laptop last night and as soon as the
installer had loaded I was informed about available networks, so I
clicked in the top right hand corner on the network icon and connected
it to my home network. I then clicked through the installer screens when
it brought me to the connect to a wifi network screen, but I was already
connected! I simply clicked next without entering anything and it stayed
connected to my network but this can be confusing and annoying to anyone
installing Ubuntu. It simply needs to check if I'm already connected
before showing that section of the installer.
** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
