Hello? I know I'm not the only one with this bug: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1789452
I wish I could help out; unfortunately, I have neither the skills nor the time immediately to hand. It just seems that bug reporting has become a futile process: unless it is a problem that either affects such a large number of people it is impossible to ignore, or a problem that personally affects a developer, it seems that there is no motivation even to triage (let alone fix!). I know I haven't paid for support, and I know I'm not helping out particularly with the bugs I report, but it is frustrating that an evident lack of engineering and QA resources manifests itself in this way; as I said, I'm not the only person with this bug. ** Attachment added: "debug log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/849909/+attachment/2450508/+files/debug.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/849909 Title: g-s-d dies on starting To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/849909/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
