I just reported bug #855080 (which was immediately marked as a
duplicate). I can reproduce the issue as follows:
1. Start Language Support control center applet.
2. It tells me that thunderbird-locale-en-us and thunderbird-locale-en are not
installed and if I want to install them now or be reminded later.
3. Click "Install".
4. Admin password screen comes up.
5. Click "Cancel" for admin password screen.
6. It crashes
