Confirming on Thinkpad T42 with Feisty Fawn (fresh install) and 2.6.20-15-386: No sound after hibernation or warm restart. Strangely, the sound works (e.g. in amarok) for less than a second when I un-/in- plug AC adapter. Cold restart fixes the sound. This was not an issue under Dapper.
After hibernation "everything" looks normal except: Output of $more dmesg | grep 1f.5 [ 1948.480000] Intel ICH 0000:00:1f.5: freeze [ 1948.480000] ACPI: PCI interrupt for device 0000:00:1f.5 disabled [ 1948.500000] Intel ICH 0000:00:1f.5: LATE freeze [ 2057.500000] Intel ICH 0000:00:1f.5: EARLY resume [ 2057.540000] Intel ICH 0000:00:1f.5: resuming [ 2057.540000] PM: Writing back config space on device 0000:00:1f.5 at offset 1 (was 2900007, writing 2900003) [ 2057.540000] ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:00:1f.5[B] -> Link [LNKB] -> GSI 11 (level, low) -> IRQ 11 [ 2057.540000] PCI: Setting latency timer of device 0000:00:1f.5 to 64 Output of $lspci -vv | grep "AC'97" 00:1f.5 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation 82801DB/DBL/DBM (ICH4/ICH4-L/ICH4-M) AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 01) 00:1f.6 Modem: Intel Corporation 82801DB/DBL/DBM (ICH4/ICH4-L/ICH4-M) AC'97 Modem Controller (rev 01) (prog-if 00 [Generic]) -- [Feisty] Inaudible audio upon resuming from suspend-to-disk https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/80893 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
