As of now, Plymouth is working fine in all my machines, text included. Of course, anyone who has followed all the updates since before August 10 and didn't throw in the towel and reinstall in some way after encountering this bug might still have the problem as far as I know. Presumably they would be treating Plymouth as broken and not be using it. Is anyone out there still having this problem?
