Ok, I changed it (since 39000 line of a diff seemed a little bit hard) and downloaded the 0.6.0-2 package from ubuntu and copied the changed files from the debian 0.6.0-3 branch. After that I did the change and uploaded the branch. I hope this is a little bit more straightforward.
