I have a lenovo laptop with an Atheros AR9285. Wireless was connecting to my access point, but no traffic was flowing (I could not even ping the access point). This was on Natty.
I upgraded to Oneiric Ocelot and the problem is still there. Turning off security on the access point gave me a working card. Google came up with this: http://blog.homelinux.org/?p=327 Following the instructions there: sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/ath9k.conf and adding the following to ath9k.conf: options ath9k nohwcrypt=1 Rebooting then solves the problem. It seems the hwcrypt option for the card is broken. Hopefully this modprobe fix can be included in the Ocelot release. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/660864 Title: Ubuntu 10.10 Atheros AR9285 Wireless disconnects ( atl1c ) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/660864/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
