Thanks for attaching /var/log/installer but from what I can tell the installation completed successfully ... in the meantime Firefox should be default with Ubuntu.If not, you should be able to install it using Applications->Add/Remove Please don't take this wrong, but we like to keep bug reports in the bug database without support requests - it makes it much easier for the developers to find their way around the bug tracker. See http://www.ubuntu.com/support for ways to find help. Once again, thanks for your report.
