Hi warjowuch I'm using the 280.13 driver and the problem is definitely existing (in addition the latest beta is acting the same but it has a suspend/wake up freezing issue too) although I got this issue with fedora 15 and gnome 3 but I think on Ubuntu compiz/unity/gnome 3 would do the same. If you want I could send you a bug report with this driver version on fedora 15 tomorrow. Imho if anyone else could do the same on Ubuntu we could sand a thorough report which must be enough them to fix this issue if they wanted.
I just now read the 752445 bug thread and saw that this driver sold the problem for somebody but the majority gets the same.
