Public bug reported: If ~/.mission-control/accounts/accounts.cfg is a symlink (either itself or any component of that path) empathy will prompt for account details on every run, showing no accounts registered. Manually adding accounts causes empathy to function for the remainder of the session. When logging out & in again, empathy shows no accounts and prompts to add some.
I previously used empathy on Ubuntu 11.04 without issue with ~/.mission- control being a symlink to another directory (on the same filesystem, so it is always available). mission-control probably shouldn't care if a file or directory is a symlink or not.
