I can't comment on the original crash, because I can't reproduce it.

However, apart from that, there is a problem in Inkscape with respect to
the color gradients in the image. Attached is a pdf file obtained from
the .ps file using the DOS command : ps2pdf logo.ps logo.pdf. I believe
this is the same as what Inkscape does as well in its conversion. The
pdf file appears to be a good rendering of the original .ps file,
including the color gradients. However, when I import the pdf file into
Inkscape, all the color gradients are gone (or not used, to be more
precise).
