I have just discovered something that sounds strange to me:

$ dmesg|grep powernow
[    2.581194] powernow-k8: Found 1 AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1090T Processor (6 cpu
cores) (version 2.20.00)
[    2.581200] powernow-k8: Core Performance Boosting: on.
[    2.581222] powernow-k8:    0 : pstate 0 (3200 MHz)
[    2.581223] powernow-k8:    1 : pstate 1 (2400 MHz)
[    2.581224] powernow-k8:    2 : pstate 2 (1600 MHz)
[    2.581225] powernow-k8:    3 : pstate 3 (800 MHz)

According to this, Turbo Core is enabled. Why this discrepancy with
/proc/cpuinfo and
/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_available_frequencies?
