Same problem here. In my case, I still had the old setup for update- notifier where an icon appears when updates are available, because I preferred that behaviour to having the window pop up. As far as I can tell, choosing this behaviour also causes crash reports to appear in the systray; one of the reasons I'd whitelisted it (back when testing Natty) was that I was not getting crash reports otherwise.
